The European Commission has fined Heineken EUR 219 million for prohibited price-fixing agreements with other brewers. The Commission has imposed fines totalling almost EUR 274 million. Grolsch will have to pay EUR 31.65 million and Bavaria EUR 22.85 million. Belgian brewer InBev is being waived a fine of EUR 84 million because the company provided "important information" about the cartel, the Commission says.
One of the Dutch associations involved with café's also got plans to sew these breweries and have already asked the pubs and café's to lower their beer prices immediately :P
